By securing their place in the Round of 16, Bayern do not have to play in the upcoming Knockout Phase in February. Because they have secured a spot in the top 8, they will be seeded in the round of 16.
FCB will face the winner of either Borussia Dortmund vs. Atalanta or Olympiacos vs. Bayer Leverkusen. Due to the removal of "country protection" in the new tournament format, FC Bayern Munich has a 50% chance of facing a fellow Bundesliga team in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League round of 16.
